Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Soak Wooden Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  2. 2

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

  3. 3

    Marinate Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined Gulf shrimp to the marinade. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Prepare Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Assemble Skewers

Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of bell pepper, red onion, and cherry tomatoes if using.

  3. 6

    Grill Skewers

Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, and vegetables are slightly charred.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a minute before serving. Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired.
