Method

Marinate Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, mix hot honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Marinate Chicken

Add the boneless chicken thighs to the marinade. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare Filling

  1. 3

    Mix Filling Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped chives, and shredded cheese. Mix until well blended.

Cook Chicken

  1. 4

    Cook Chicken

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).

  2. 5

    Shred Chicken

Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before shredding it into bite-sized pieces.

Assemble Croissants

  1. 6

    Prepare Puff Pastry

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into triangles.

  2. 7

    Fill Croissants

Place a spoonful of the cream cheese filling followed by shredded chicken on the wide end of each triangle. Carefully roll the pastry from the wide end towards the point, creating a croissant shape.

  3. 8

    Bake Croissants

Place the filled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with a little melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Garnish and Serve

    Garnish

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

  2. 10

Serve warm as an appetizer or snack!
