Prepare the Green Tomatoes
Wash and slice the green tomatoes into about 1/4 inch thick slices. Set aside.

Set Up Breading Station
In one shallow bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In another shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk. In a third shallow bowl, combine the cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

Fry the Tomatoes
Carefully place the breaded tomato slices in the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
For the Buttermilk Ranch Dip

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the buttermilk, mayonnaise, sour cream, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Mix Well
Whisk until all ingredients are well blended and the dip is smooth.

Add Fresh Chives
Fold in the chopped fresh chives. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
