Method

Prepare the Fruits

  1. 1

    Wash and Cut Fruits

Rinse the grapes and blueberries under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove the stems from the grapes and set aside. Hull and slice the strawberries into halves or quarters depending on size. Core and slice the apple into wedges. Peel and slice the kiwi into rounds.

  2. 2

    Arrange the Fruits

On a large serving platter, artfully arrange the prepared fruits, grouping them by type for visual appeal.

Prepare the Cheeses

  1. 3

    Slice the Cheeses

Cut the Brie cheese into wedges, the Cheddar cheese into cubes, and crumble the Gorgonzola cheese. Place the cheeses on the same platter or in a separate cheese board.

  2. 4

    Garnish (Optional)

For extra flair, you can add some fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme around the cheese.

Fry the Saltines

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Saltines

Carefully add a handful of Saltine crackers to the hot oil, frying them for about 30 seconds on each side or until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining crackers.

  3. 7

    Season the Saltines

Sprinkle the fried Saltines with a pinch of salt while they are still hot.

Assemble the Tray

  1. 8

    Final Arrangement

Once all components are ready, place the fried Saltines around the edge of the platter with the fruits and cheeses in the center. Serve immediately.
