Method
Beef Roast Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 2
Season the Beef
Rub the beef roast with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Make sure to cover it evenly on all sides.
- 3
Sear the Beef
In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Sear the beef roast on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 4
Roast the Beef
Transfer the seared beef to a roasting pan. Pour the beef broth around the roast. Cover with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (medium rare is 135°F/57°C).
- 5
Rest the Beef
Once done, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Horseradish Sauce Preparation
- 6
Mix the Sauce
In a medium bowl, combine prepared horseradish, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and well-blended. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Sandwich Assembly
- 7
Slice the Bread
Slice the French bread loaf in half horizontally.
- 8
Assemble the Sandwich
Layer slices of the roast beef evenly on the bottom half of the bread. Spread a generous amount of horseradish sauce over the beef. Top with a handful of Frenchie's crispy onions.
- 9
Finish the Sandwich
Place the top half of the bread over the fillings. Press down gently and cut into individual sandwiches.
