Method

Panini Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Once done, place them on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Prepare Avocado Purée

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Panini

Take each ciabatta bread piece and layer one side with turkey slices, followed by the crispy bacon, gouda cheese, and a generous spread of avocado purée. Top with the other piece of ciabatta.

Parmesan Garlic Aioli Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed and creamy.

Cooking the Panini

  1. 5

    Grill the Panini

Preheat a panini press or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the assembled panini on the grill, pressing down gently. Cook for about 4-5 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

  2. 6

    Serve

Remove the panini from the grill, slice it in half, and serve warm with the parmesan garlic aioli on the side for dipping.
