Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

Form Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.

Sauté Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the crushed San Marzano tomatoes. Add fresh basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are baked, gently place them into the simmering tomato sauce. Cover and let them cook together for an additional 10 minutes.
