Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare the Toppings

Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into thin rounds. Have the cheese and burger buns ready for assembly.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt. Remove the patties from heat and place each on a bun. Top with lettuce and tomato slices.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips for fries.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in small batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 9

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle salt over the hot fries to taste before serving.
