Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Fancy Sauce

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into 2 equal portions (or 4 for double burgers) and form each into a loose ball without compacting too much.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the beef balls on the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties about 1/2 inch thick. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

Immediately place a slice of white cheddar cheese on each patty after flipping. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the brioche buns if desired. Spread the fancy sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, the patty with cheese, pickles, and tomato slices. Top with the upper bun.
