Tempeh

Method

Tempeh Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Tempeh

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Cut the tempeh into thin slices (about 1/2 inch thick) and add them to the marinade. Ensure the tempeh is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Tempeh

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated tempeh slices on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the tempeh is heated through. Remove from the grill and set aside.

Sweet & Spicy Slaw Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded green cabbage, grated carrot, thinly sliced red bell pepper, and sliced green onions. Toss the vegetables together until well mixed.

  2. 4

    Make the Dressing

In a separate small bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, honey, sriracha sauce, and salt until well combined.

  3. 5

    Combine the Slaw and Dressing

Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and toss well to coat all the vegetables evenly. Let the slaw sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
