Method

Prepare Glass

  1. 1

    Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer a colder pour, place a pint glass in the fridge or freezer for 15–20 minutes prior to serving. A chilled glass helps keep the beer colder longer but is optional.

  2. 2

Remove the chilled glass from the fridge or freezer and set it on a stable surface.

Open Bottle

  1. 3

Ensure the bottle is upright. Hold the bottle firmly by the neck and use a bottle opener to quickly and cleanly remove the cap. Avoid vigorous shaking beforehand to minimize foam.

Pour Beer

  1. 4

Tilt the chilled pint glass to about a 45° angle. Begin pouring the Blue Moon slowly down the side of the glass so the beer flows gently and produces a modest head (foam). Stop pouring when the glass is roughly three-quarters full.

  2. 5

Tilt the glass upright and pour the remaining beer into the center of the glass to create a 1–1.5 inch head. Aim for a creamy head that enhances aroma and appearance.

Garnish and Serve

  1. 6

Take one fresh orange wedge and run it around the rim of the glass to lightly transfer oils, then drop the wedge into the glass or attach it to the rim as preferred. The citrus accent complements Blue Moon's coriander and orange-peel notes.

  2. 7

Serve immediately. Recommend enjoying at about 40–45°F (4–7°C).
