Filling and Wontons

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the crawfish tails, cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and dill weed. Mix until well blended.

  2. 2

    Prepare Wontons

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges with a little water and fold the wonton over to form a triangle, pressing to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets.

  3. 3

    Fry the Wontons

In a deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the filled wontons in batches, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Serve the Dip

Transfer the fried wontons to a serving platter. Serve warm with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
