Preparation
Gather Ingredients
Collect all the ingredients: Appleton 8yr Aged Rum, Jamaican Bitters, Brown Sugar, and Orange Peel.
Measure the Rum
Pour 2 oz of Appleton 8yr Aged Rum into a mixing glass.
Add Brown Sugar
Add 1 tsp of brown sugar to the mixing glass with the rum. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Jamaican bitters to the mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
Chill the Mixture
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir for about 30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
Serving
Strain into Glass
Strain the chilled mixture into a chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish
Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and drop it into the glass as a garnish.
