Chop Tomatoes
Dice the ripe tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Mince Garlic
Peel and mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the tomato mixture.

Mix Ingredients
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato mixture and season with salt and black pepper. Gently mix everything together until well combined.

Let Marinate
Let the mixture sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice Baguette
Slice the baguette into ½ inch thick slices.

Toast Bread
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the marinated tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
