Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Build and shake

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add 2 oz Evan Williams bourbon, 1 oz peach liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters to the shaker.

  2. 2

    Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted. This chills and properly dilutes the mixture.

  3. 3

    Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with fresh ice.

  4. 4

    Strain and top

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice. Top with 3 oz chilled lemonade, gently stir once with a bar spoon to combine.

  5. 5

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with a peach slice on the rim and an optional sprig of fresh mint. Serve with a straw.

  6. 6

    Notes

If you prefer a sweeter drink, increase simple syrup to 0.75–1 oz or substitute peach puree (0.5–1 oz) for more fresh peach flavor. For a larger pitcher, scale all ingredients proportionally.
