Tacos

Method

Marinating the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade, letting any excess marinade drip off. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  2. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  3. 5

    Slice the Steak

Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

Assembling the Tacos

  1. 6

    Prepare the Tacos

Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.

  2. 7

    Add Steak and Toppings

Place a few slices of the grilled steak on each tortilla. Top with diced onion, chopped fresh cilantro, and add sour cream and salsa to taste.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve the steak tacos warm and enjoy!
