Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare and chill glass

Place a coupe or champagne flute in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill the glass.

  2. 2

    Build and shake

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Jim Beam Red Stag Black Cherry, 0.75 oz Filthy Cherry, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.

  3. 3

    Strain

Discard the ice or water from your chilled glass. Double strain the shaken mixture into the chilled coupe or into a rocks glass over fresh ice, depending on your preference.

  4. 4

    Top with Prosecco

Gently top the cocktail with 3 oz chilled Lovo Prosecco. Pour slowly over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles and create a layered look.

  5. 5

    Garnish and finish

Express a lemon twist over the drink and either drop it in or discard, then add a maraschino or Luxardo cherry on a pick. Give the drink a gentle stir (1–2 rotations) to integrate the Prosecco with the whiskey mixture without flattening the effervescence.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately while the Prosecco is lively. Recommend enjoying as a celebratory evening cocktail for one.
