Method
Pizzetta Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). This high temperature is essential for a crispy crust.
- 2
Prepare the Dough
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it onto a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- 3
Add Toppings
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, followed by fresh basil leaves. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 4
Bake the Pizzetta
Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the pizza and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 5
Cool and Slice
Remove the pizzetta from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing into portions.
Insalata Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Salad Base
In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and diced cucumber.
- 7
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 8
Toss the Salad
Drizzle the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to combine. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.
- 9
Serve
Plate the salad and sprinkle shaved Parmesan cheese on top just before serving.
