Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the pork ribs to evenly coat them.

  2. 2

    Place Ribs in Slow Cooker

Transfer the seasoned ribs to a slow cooker, arranging them neatly to fit.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 4

    Add Sauce to Ribs

Pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs in the slow cooker, ensuring that they are well coated with the sauce.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 5

    Slow Cook

Cover the slow cooker and cook the ribs on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat easily pulls away from the bone.

Finishing Touches

  1. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the slow cooker and place them on a baking sheet. Brush additional BBQ sauce on top of the ribs.

  2. 7

    Broil

Preheat your oven broiler. Place the baking sheet with the ribs under the broiler for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

  3. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing the ribs. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
