Method
Preparation
- 1
Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or chicken until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 2
Prepare the Cheese
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the meat is cooking, shred the cheese if you haven't done so already.
Assembly
- 3
Layer the Nachos
On a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter, spread out the tortilla chips evenly. Sprinkle the cooked meat over the chips, followed by the shredded cheese.
- 4
Add Toppings
Evenly distribute the sliced jalapeños over the nachos. If you like, add sliced olives at this point.
Baking
- 5
Melt the Cheese
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove the nachos from the oven. Top with sour cream, salsa, and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy!
