Chicken Marinade

Sandwich Assembly

Method

Marinating the Chicken

1

Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, combine buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper.

2

Marinate Chicken

Add the boneless chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Breading and Frying

3

Prepare Breading

In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

4

Bread Chicken

Take the marinated chicken thighs out of the buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge them in the flour mixture, coating well.

5

Fry Chicken

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken thighs and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling the Sandwich

6

Prepare Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on a skillet or in the oven.

7

Assemble Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, fried chicken, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

8

Serve

Serve the Mashville Chicken Boy's Sandwich warm with your favorite side dishes.
