Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Grilling the Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 4

    Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the chicken is resting, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, then add a grilled chicken breast. Top with slices of tomato and a tablespoon of mayonnaise. Place the top half of the bun on to complete the sandwich.
