Prepare Croutons

Make Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Bake Croutons
Spread the seasoned bread cubes onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through.

Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
Assemble Salad

Prepare Lettuce
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly. Tear or chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

Combine Salad Ingredients
Add the cooled croutons to the salad bowl with romaine lettuce. Pour the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine everything.

Sprinkle fresh shaved Parmesan cheese on top of the salad. Add white anchovies on top, if desired. Serve immediately.
