Method

Cauliflower Bites Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cauliflower

Cut the cauliflower head into bite-sized florets and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and water. Whisk until smooth and well blended.

  3. 3

    Coat the Cauliflower

Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.

  4. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Cauliflower

Carefully add the coated cauliflower florets to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Buffalo Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.

  2. 7

    Combine Ingredients

Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well to combine and heat through for about 2 minutes.

  3. 8

    Toss the Cauliflower

In a large bowl, combine the fried cauliflower bites with the buffalo sauce and toss until evenly coated.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Bites

Serve the buffalo cauliflower bites hot, alongside a cup of blue cheese dressing for dipping.
