Green Cold-Pressed Juice (12 oz)

Method

Green Cold-Pressed Juice (12 oz)

  1. 1

    Prepare produce

Wash all produce thoroughly. Remove stems from kale, core and quarter the apple, peel cucumber if desired, and roughly chop celery so it fits your juicer feed chute.

  2. 2

    Cold-press / Blend

If using a cold press juicer: feed kale, apple, cucumber, celery, ginger, and lemon through the juicer, alternating soft and firm items to maximize yield. Collect juice until you have about 12 oz (roughly 1.5 cups) of juice. If using a high-speed blender: place kale, apple, cucumber, celery, ginger, lemon juice and 1.5 cups cold filtered water in the blender. Blend on high until completely smooth.

  3. 3

    Strain (if blended)

If blended, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing or squeezing to extract all liquid. Discard or reserve the pulp for another use.

  4. 4

    Finish & Serve

If juice is stronger than preferred, add cold filtered water a tablespoon at a time to reach desired intensity. Chill with ice if desired. Serve immediately in a 12 oz glass.

Beet Citrus Cold-Pressed Juice (12 oz)

  1. 5

    Prepare produce

Wash and peel beet and carrot. Peel and segment the orange. Measure turmeric and lemon juice.

  2. 6

    Cold-press / Blend

If using a cold press juicer: feed beet, carrot and orange through the juicer until you have about 12 oz of juice. Add lemon juice and turmeric and stir to combine. If using a blender: combine beet, carrot, orange, turmeric and 1.5 cups cold filtered water and blend on high until smooth.

  3. 7

    Strain (if blended)

Strain blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or nut milk bag to remove fiber. Press to extract as much liquid as possible.

  4. 8

    Adjust sweetness & Serve

Taste and add a little more lemon juice if needed. Chill with ice if desired. Pour into a 12 oz glass and serve immediately.

Ginger-Lime Kombucha (12 oz)

  1. 9

    Prepare kombucha

Chill the kombucha thoroughly (best served cold).

  2. 10

    Mix flavorings

In a measuring cup or small pitcher, combine grated ginger, fresh lime juice and optional honey or maple syrup. Stir or whisk until honey dissolves.

  3. 11

    Combine & Serve

Pour 12 oz chilled kombucha into a 12 oz glass over ice if desired. Add the ginger-lime mixture and gently stir to incorporate. Taste and add more sweetener or lime to preference. Serve immediately.
