Wagyu Patties

Buns, Cheese, and Toppings

Method

Double Wagyu Burger – Steps

  1. 1

    Portion and season beef

Divide the wagyu ground beef into eight equal portions (about 4 oz each). Gently form into round patties about 3/4 inch thick. Season both sides of each patty with fine salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  2. 2

    Prepare buns and aromatics

Split brioche buns in half. Brush the cut sides with melted butter and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook patties and melt cheese

Preheat a heavy skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium. After flipping, place one slice of american cheese on top of each patty and allow to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast buns and finish

While cheese melts, place the buttered buns cut-side-down on the hot skillet until golden, about 1-2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble toppings

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom buns. Layer with 1-2 leaves of butter lettuce, followed by 2 tomato slices and 2 pickle slices per burger.

  6. 6

    Stack and finish

Place a cheese-melted patty on each bottom half, add a second patty for each burger, then crown with the top bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot with your favorite sides.
