Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the flank steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best flavor.

  2. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil and the sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated flank steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Firebread

On each piece of firebread, layer the sliced steak, caramelized onions, shredded jack cheese, and a handful of arugula. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm, enjoying the combination of flavors.
