Acai Base

Method

Acai Base

  1. 1

    Prep and blend

If using frozen banana or frozen acai puree, let sit at room temperature for 2–3 minutes so blender can break them up. Add frozen acai puree, Greek yogurt, sliced banana, apple juice (or coconut water), and 1 tsp local honey to a high-speed blender. Pulse to start and then blend on high until smooth and thick. Aim for a spoonable, soft-serve consistency; add up to 15–30 ml more liquid only if necessary.

  2. 2

Taste the base and adjust sweetness with an extra 1/2–1 tsp honey if desired. Stop blender and scrape down sides once so mixture is evenly combined.

Fruit Toppings

  1. 3

Prepare fresh fruit: dice the pineapple into small bite-sized pieces, quarter the hulled strawberries, and rinse blueberries and blackberries, draining well. Pat berries dry with a paper towel to avoid watering down the bowl.

  2. 4

Arrange fruit attractively: spoon the acai-yogurt base into a bowl (approximately 2 cups total). On top, arrange pineapple, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries in separate sections or scattered evenly for color and texture balance.

Crunch & Finish

  1. 5

Sprinkle the oat and fruit granola evenly over one side of the bowl to keep it crunchy. If using, scatter 1 tsp chia seeds over the center.

  2. 6

Drizzle 2 tsp local honey over the entire bowl for a glossy finish and extra sweetness. Serve immediately to preserve granola crunch and fruit freshness.
