Method

Preparation of Potatoes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into wedges or cubes, depending on your preference.

  2. 2

    Season and Roast

In a bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, and paprika. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, turning halfway through.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Prepare the Steak

Take the petit hanger steak out of the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet or grill pan over high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 5

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet used for the steak, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preferred style (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.), seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, arrange the roasted potatoes, top with sliced hanger steak, and place the cooked eggs on top. Serve immediately and enjoy your Steak et Oeuf!
