Method
Preparing the Rillettes
- 1
Blend the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the smoked salmon and cream cheese. Use a fork or a hand mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.
- 2
Season the Mixture
Add the chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the smoked salmon and cream cheese mixture. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
- 3
Fold in the Trout Roe
Gently fold in the trout roe, being careful not to break the eggs too much. This will add a nice texture and flavor to the rillettes.
Making the Crostini
- 4
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- 5
Slice the Baguette
Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- 6
Brush with Olive Oil
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush both sides with olive oil.
- 7
Bake the Crostini
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
