Bread Base

Garlic Butter Mixture

Method

Preparing Garlic Butter

  1. 1

    Soften the Butter

Take the unsalted butter out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until it is soft and spreadable.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

While the butter is softening, peel and mince the garlic cloves using a knife or a garlic press.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Rinse the fresh parsley under cold water, pat dry, and chop finely.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Preparing the Bread

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 6

    Slice the Bread

Take the French bread loaf and cut it in half lengthwise to create two equal halves.

  3. 7

    Spread the Garlic Butter

Using a butter knife or spatula, evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread halves.

Baking the Garlic Bread

  1. 8

    Bake the Bread

Place the prepared bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter is melted.

  2. 9

    Optional Broil

For a crispier top, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes of baking. Keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.

Serving

  1. 10

    Slice and Serve

Once baked, remove the garlic bread from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice into pieces and serve warm.
