Method

Espresso Preparation

  1. 1

    Grind Coffee Beans

Using a coffee grinder, grind 18g of espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency suitable for espresso extraction.

  2. 2

    Brew Espresso

Place the ground coffee in the espresso machine's portafilter, tamp it down firmly, and lock it into the machine. Brew with 60ml of water to extract a rich shot of espresso.

Milk Frothing

  1. 3

    Heat the Milk

Pour 200ml of whole milk into a saucepan and heat it on medium-low heat until it’s warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.

  2. 4

    Froth the Milk

Once heated, use a milk frother to froth the milk until it doubles in volume and has a velvety texture. If you don't have a frother, you can whisk vigorously by hand.

  3. 5

    Add Vanilla Syrup

Stir in 15ml of vanilla syrup to the frothed milk for added sweetness and flavor.

Assembly and Toppings

  1. 6

    Combine Espresso and Milk

In a coffee cup, pour the freshly brewed espresso shot. Slowly add the frothed milk on top, allowing it to mix slightly with the espresso.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle 1 tsp of cocoa powder on top of the frothed milk and add 5g of chocolate shavings for an elegant finish.
