Method

Cooking the Potatoes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potato

Peel the potato and cut it into small cubes. Rinse the cubes under cold water to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Cook the Potato

In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Add the potato cubes and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until crispy. Remove from skillet and let drain on paper towels.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 4

    Prepare the Eggs

In the same skillet used for bacon, you can use the leftover grease or add a little butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them to your preferred style (sunny-side up, over-easy, scrambled, etc.). This should take about 3-5 minutes.

Toasting the Brioche

  1. 5

    Toast the Brioche

While the eggs are cooking, toast the slice of brioche bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Plating

  1. 6

    Serve the Americana

On a plate, arrange the cooked potato cubes, crispy bacon, and the eggs. Serve with the toasted brioche on the side.
