Dough Preparation

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for about 15 minutes to blend flavors.
Assembling the Pizza

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

Shape the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to your desired thickness on a floured surface.

Add Sauce and Toppings
Spread the prepared sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese and add pepperoni slices on top.

Bake the Pizza
Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
