Muddle the Sugar
In a rocks glass, place the sugar cube and douse it with the Angostura bitters. Add a teaspoon of water to the glass.

Dissolve the Sugar
Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, muddle the sugar cube and bitters together until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Add the Bourbon
Pour 2 ounces of Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old over the muddled sugar mixture.

Add Ice
Fill the glass with a large ice cube or several smaller cubes, allowing the bourbon to chill.

Garnish the Drink
Twist the orange peel over the glass to release its oils, then drop it into the drink. Finish with a maraschino cherry on top.
