Preparing the Wagyu Strip

Season the Steak
Pat the Wagyu strip steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Making the Knödel

Prepare the Potatoes
Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and let them cool slightly before peeling.

Mash the Potatoes
Mash the peeled potatoes until smooth. Allow to cool completely.

Shape the Dumplings
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls (about the size of a golf ball).

Cook the Dumplings
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook until they float to the surface, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

Prepare the Green Beans
Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them under cold water.

Blanch the Green Beans
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Red Bell Pepper
Slice the red bell pepper into strips. In the same skillet used for the steak, add a little more olive oil if needed, and sauté the red pepper until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
