Preparation

1

Prepare the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water. Cut off both ends and slice it into thin rounds. Reserve one slice for garnish.

2

Make Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water (1/2 cup each should suffice). Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Allow to cool before using.

Mixing the Drink

3

Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the cucumber slices (reserve a slice for garnish), gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.

4

Shake

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

5

Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and stir gently to combine.

Garnishing

6

Add Garnish

Garnish the drink with the reserved cucumber slice on the rim of the glass.
