Method

Pancakes

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.

  4. 4

    Cook Pancakes

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Eggs

  1. 5

    Cook Eggs

In the same skillet used for pancakes (or a separate one), crack the 2 eggs. Cook to your preference: sunny-side up, over-easy, or scrambled. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Choice of Meat

  1. 6

    Cook Meat

Using the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Alternatively, cook sausage links or ham slices until heated through and browned, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
