Method

Preparing the Guacamole

  1. 1

    Mash the Avocados

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash with a fork until smooth or slightly chunky, based on your preference.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

Add lime juice, chopped red onion, chopped fresh cilantro, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocados. Mix until well combined. Set aside.

Toasting the Bread

  1. 3

    Toast the Bread

Toast the wheat bread slices in a toaster or under a broiler until golden brown. Set aside.

Basting the Eggs

  1. 4

    Prepare the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes. Baste the eggs by spooning some of the melted butter over the whites to ensure they cook evenly.

Assembling the Toast

  1. 5

    Spread the Guacamole

Spread a generous amount of the prepared guacamole onto each slice of toasted bread.

  2. 6

    Add Basted Eggs

Carefully place a basted egg on top of each slice of guacamole-covered toast.

  3. 7

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes over the eggs for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve the avocado toast with a cup of mixed fresh fruit on the side for a refreshing complement.
