Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip them halfway through for even cooking. Once done, drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Avocado

While the bacon is cooking, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it with a fork and mix in lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Slice the Tomato

Wash the tomato and slice it into 1/4 inch thick slices.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Cream Cheese

Soften the cream cheese at room temperature or microwave it for a few seconds until it is spreadable.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread a layer of cream cheese on each slice of toasted bread. Top with a generous amount of mashed avocado, followed by slices of tomato and crispy bacon.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while the bread is warm and enjoy your California-style bacon, avocado, tomato, and cream cheese sandwich.
