Espresso Rub
Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Prepare the baking sheet
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
- 3
Mix the espresso rub
In a medium bowl, combine the espresso powder, brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Cooking
- 4
Coat the bacon
Take each strip of bacon and generously coat it with the espresso rub, pressing the rub into the bacon to ensure it sticks.
- 5
Arrange bacon on the rack
Place the coated bacon strips on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
- 6
Bake the bacon
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized. Keep an eye on it towards the end to prevent burning.
- 7
Cool and serve
Once done, remove the bacon from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes on the rack. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
