Directions
- 1
Prepare the apples
Wash the fresh apples thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
- 2
Cut the apples
Core and chop the apples into quarters. You can leave the skin on for added flavor and nutrients.
- 3
Cook the apples
In a large pot, combine the chopped apples and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the apples are soft and mushy.
- 4
Mash the apples
Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the apples to release their juice. You can also use an immersion blender for a smoother consistency.
- 5
Strain the juice
Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a large bowl. Pour the mashed apple mixture into the strainer and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the juice to drain. You can use the back of a spoon to press the apple pulp if you want to extract more juice.

- 7
Add cinnamon (optional)
If desired, add cinnamon to the juice and stir well to combine.
- 8
Serve the juice
Pour the fresh apple juice into glasses and serve chilled. You can also add ice if you prefer.
