Pancake Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- 2
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter may be slightly lumpy.
- 4
Heat the Griddle
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of butter or cooking spray.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 2 tablespoons of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- 6
Repeat
Continue cooking pancakes in batches until all the batter is used, greasing the skillet as needed.
