Method
Burger Patties
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about ½ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over. Place one slice of American cheese and one slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
Burger Sauce
- 3
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Adjust seasonings to taste and set aside.
Assemble the Burger
- 4
Prep the Bun
Slice the brioche buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 5
Build the Burger
Spread a generous amount of the house-made burger sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. Add a slice of tomato, onion, and pickles before topping with the other half of the bun.
