Preparing the Salad
- 1
Wash and Chop Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt or grit. Shake off excess water and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped lettuce in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Croutons and Cheese
Add the croutons and the grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl with the chopped romaine lettuce. Toss gently to combine.
Making the Caesar Dressing
- 3
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, anchovy paste, black pepper, and salt until smooth and well combined.
- 4
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Assembling the Salad
- 5
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce mixture. Toss gently until the lettuce, croutons, and cheese are evenly coated with the dressing.
- 6
Serve
Serve immediately in individual bowls or on a large platter. Optionally, garnish with additional Parmesan cheese.
