Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.
- 2
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, mix the almond milk, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until smooth.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 4
Preheat Waffle Maker
Preheat your Belgian waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 5
Cook the Waffles
Grease the waffle maker lightly with coconut oil. Pour the appropriate amount of batter (about 1/2 cup, depending on your waffle maker) onto the preheated waffle maker and close the lid. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Serve
Carefully remove the waffle from the waffle maker and place it on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Topping the Waffles
- 7
Add Toppings
Top the freshly made waffles with fresh blueberries, sliced strawberries, banana slices, and chopped pecans as desired.
- 8
Drizzle Additional Syrup
For added sweetness, drizzle additional maple syrup over the toppings if desired.
