Dough Preparation

Prepare the Yeast Mixture
In a small bowl, combine warm milk (about 110°F) with yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, and salt.

Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

Roll the Dough
Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.

Cut the Rolls
Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Frosting Preparation

In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until creamy. Stir in vanilla extract and milk until desired consistency is reached.

Once the rolls are baked and slightly cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the top.
