Burger Assembly

Method

Preparation of Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, then divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.

  3. 3

    Add the Cheese

After flipping, place one slice of American cheese and one slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through.

Preparing House-Made Burger Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the brioche buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread a generous amount of house-made burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, followed by the cooked beef patties with melted cheese, slices of tomato, onion, and pickles.

  3. 7

    Finish Assembly

Top with the other half of the brioche bun and serve immediately.
