Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks until pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone
Gently fold in 2 cups of mascarpone cheese until smooth and well combined.

In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and fluffy.

Add Vanilla Extract
Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract into the filling.
Assembly of Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Dish
In a rectangular dish, arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom.

Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the layer of ladyfingers.

Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
