Cider Preparation
Prepare the Guava
Wash the guavas thoroughly. If using fresh guavas, cut them in half and scoop out the pulp. If using frozen, allow them to thaw before use.
Strain the Liquid
After simmering, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container to remove solids. Let the liquid cool to room temperature.
Fermentation
Once the liquid is cool, add the yeast to the container and stir gently. Cover the container with a clean cloth or fermentation lock, and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks.
Chill and Serve
Once carbonated, chill the cider in the refrigerator before serving. Enjoy your homemade guava cider!
